Reuben is a small 4 12 months outdated male Jack Russell Terrier Cross with an enormous coronary heart. At simply 4 years outdated, this little boy discovered himself within the cruelest of locations: a kill shelter.
The tiniest in his cage, defenseless towards greater canines, he was attacked repeatedly. He didn’t struggle again. He simply curled into the nook, silent, paralyzed with worry, ready for the top. He wasn’t constructed for this life.
He was a house boy—fragile, mild, with a coronary heart too tender for the chilly concrete partitions round him. They introduced him there to die. However we refused to let that be his ending.
When the shelter gate opened and Reuben was carried out, one thing extraordinary occurred: a smile appeared on his face. The canine who had as soon as given up on life lit up with pleasure. He noticed freedom. He noticed love. And he modified endlessly.
