ARL Awarded Grant from “I’m Animal Pleasant” License Plate Funds

Grant gives sponsored spay/neuter surgical procedure for greater than two dozen pet homeowners

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is comfortable to announce the group is a recipient of a 2025 grant from the MA “I’m Animal Pleasant” license plate program.

Funds might be used in the direction of ARL’s community-based applications to offer sponsored spay/neuter providers for greater than two dozen pet homeowners in Boston.

This month ARL’s Spay Waggin’ held two spay/neuter clinics, one on the Franklin Park Zoo, the opposite at a personal enterprise in Mattapan, to offer the service for native pet homeowners.

Purchasers included one pet proprietor who’s a consumer of ARL’s Wellness Waggin’ and was just lately reunited with their cat after the animal had snuck out.

ARL’s Spay Waggin’ is a cell veterinary surgical car that gives low-cost spay and neuter providers in Larger Boston, Southeastern Massachusetts, and Cape Cod.

The Wellness Waggin’ brings low-cost pet wellness care straight into Boston communities that want it most together with Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Hyde Park, and East Boston.

“Pets are household, and the Animal Rescue League of Boston continues to be grateful to the Massachusetts Animal Coalition and their dedication to offer grants to assist present spay/neuter providers for pet homeowners in want,” said ARL President and CEO Dr. Edward Schettino. “By this grant, ARL has been capable of assist greater than two dozen pet homeowners, and make sure that their animals are comfortable, wholesome and can proceed to thrive.”

Funds are granted yearly to organizations that show a necessity for funding and supply low-cost spay/neuter providers.

For the reason that program’s inception, MAC has awarded over $3,300,000 to many deserving organizations.
