New Topic Editor: Sabrina Dressel

My title is Sabrina Dressel, and I’m excited to affix Wildlife Biology as a Topic Editor for Human Dimensions.

I’m an Assistant Professor at Wageningen College & Analysis (Netherlands) within the Forest and Nature Conservation Coverage group, with a background in forestry, wildlife administration, and social science. My work focuses on human–wildlife interactions, collaborative environmental governance, and the social facets of wildlife and panorama administration.

After incomes my B.Sc. in Worldwide Forest Ecosystem Administration (Germany), I accomplished an M.Sc. in Wildlife Ecology and Administration at BOKU (Austria) and a Ph.D. on the Swedish College of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), the place my dissertation examined the social-ecological efficiency of collaborative moose administration in Sweden. Since then, I’ve led and contributed to quite a few tasks on matters corresponding to rewilding, attitudes in direction of giant carnivores, and human values towards wildlife throughout Europe, usually in shut collaboration with practitioners and decision-makers.

Along with my analysis, I train and coordinate programs on human dimensions of wildlife administration, strategic planning for forest and nature conservation, and interdisciplinary approaches to conservation at B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. ranges. I’m enthusiastic about bridging ecological and social views to advance sustainable and inclusive approaches to wildlife conservation.

Exterior of labor, I get pleasure from mountain climbing and exploring landscapes formed by each folks and wildlife.
