WHC Awarded $750,000 Grant from GreenLatinos to Improve City Canopies in Northwestern Indiana

Initiatives to give attention to bettering cover networks to assist mitigate city warmth island impact, forestall sediment runoff in native waterways, and enhance biodiversity in city communities

BETHESDA, Md., Nov 6, 2024 Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a beneficiant grant of USD 750,000 from GreenLatinos, a nationwide non-profit of Latino leaders confronting nationwide and native environmental points within the Latino group. This grant is aimed toward implementing city forestry efforts targeted on tree planting and upkeep, and group engagement.
