The opposite evening, we had been watching Curb Your Enthusiasm — one of many nice consolation reveals — and, within the episode, Larry’s native deli named a sandwich after him. Right here’s the large second:
Jeff: “I glided by Leo’s Delicatessen. You already know what’s up on the board? A model new sandwich known as the ‘Larry David.’”
Larry: “What? Get out of right here.”
Jeff: “Swear to God. Swear to God.”
Larry: “Leo named a sandwich after me? You’re kidding!”
Jeff: “Yep yep yep.”
Larry: “I can’t imagine it. I’m on the board?”
Jeff: “You’re on the board.”

The one catch? Larry hates his sandwich. The elements are whitefish, sable, cream cheese, capers, and onions, and he’s “extra of a pastrami, corned beef sort of man…not likely an enormous fish man.”
So! My query at the moment is, for those who had a sandwich named after you, and it was an excellent one, what can be on it? Mine can be a grilled cheese with Dijon mustard; or perhaps a basic bodega egg-and-cheese. Throughout a sizzling summer season of fast lunches, I’d love to listen to yours. xo
Listed below are just a few extra, for those who’d like inspiration:
* Swiss soften with tomatoes
* Chickpea sandwich
* Fried fish sandwiches
* Shrimp rolls
* Large egg patty sandwich
* 10-minute salmon sandwich
* Kitchen sink sandwich
* Grilled cheese salad
P.S. The perfect parenting recommendation I ever received, and 12 readers share their significant tattoos.
